Major Wedding Planning Don’ts

Don’t micromanage your vendors.

Berkshire wedding photographerThe fact that you hired them out or considered hiring them out for the wedding in the first place technically means that they are experts in what they do so far and there really isn’t any need for you to go ahead and keep second guessing them the entire time that they are there. Micromanaging your wedding vendors such as your professional Berkshire wedding photographer can be potentially problematic in such a sense wherein your vendors might feel irked off about you and might not end up doing what they do best because they happen to feel constricted creatively. You want to spurn the creative process on as much as possible and not stunt it in any way, shape, or form. This way, you are able to use them to their fullest potentials. Plus, it tends to be a great addition to know that they actually get to enjoy themselves while they are providing their services out to you. Goodwill with the wedding vendors isn’t something that is being taught in the handbook but something that every bride out there needs to be well acquainted about before they get started on planning out the wedding of their dreams. You will be heavily dependent on these vendors. Things would turn out to be so much better if they actually like you in the first place.

Don’t pick the attendants too early.

The wedding guest list will turn out to be one of the most fickle things that you will get to come across because it changes all the time. Although you would appreciate it a lot if the people that you are planning to bring in for the main wedding day, the thing about it though is that they might not respond in a timely manner and we can’t really blame them for this. They might have busy things going on in their lives and your wedding RSVP correspondence will not always turn out to be a top priority so you have to be understanding and not draft up the attendants to early. This will save effort as well as time that you put into the endeavour when it all comes down to it. Once the list is ready though, make it a point to let vendors like your wedding photographer knows about it.

Don’t tell everyone who will listen about the wedding plans.

Sometimes, it’s nice to have a little surprise up your sleeves during the day of the wedding. Don’t tell people what to expect. Give them the general facts such as the date, time, and place but other than that, try to keep them in the dark. This will ensure that they get to appreciate the events of the day more and that they don’t end up feeling bored knowing exactly what is supposed to happen next.

Don’t speed through the photos.

Great photos take time and the composition isn’t something that can be rushed through. Your Berkshire wedding photographer will walk you through it and as much as you would like it to be over with, you should languish in it because it will make your photos look so much better.
